Edith Marvin Frank

Edith Marvin Frank, 87, of Shaffer Run Road, Oil City, died on August 6, 2018, in her home surrounded by her family.

Born February 3, 1931, in Oil City, she was the daughter of the late William and Emma Dille Marvin.

Edith was a graduate of Rocky Grove High School and enjoyed the luncheons with her classmates, the “49er’s”.

She was a member of Galloway United Methodist Church. In her earlier years, she was the children and youth leader at her church.

She enjoyed quilting, bowling, camping, and especially spending time with her family.

On April 14, 1950, she married Charles Frank who preceded her in death on February 27, 2016.

She is survived by her six children: Kathy (Frank) Baron, Jim and Bernie Frank, Patty Frank, Christine (Frank) McCann, Carla Frank and Pete (Ken) and Marilyn Frank; her grandchildren: Jack and Melinda (Frank) Meyer, Jerry and Mandy (Frank) Burns, Jeff McCann, Jim McCann and Scott Leary, Teresa (McCann) and Marty Nelson, Rachel (McCann) and Chuck Klinger, Tracy Frank and Dan Frank; her step-grandchildren, Amanda (Baron) Sisson and Charles Baron Jr.; her great-grandchildren: Josie and Lilly Burns, Caleb and Bria Nelson, and Laynie, Chloe, Deacon and Grant Klinger; and her step-great-grandchildren; Andrea and Tyler Burns.

She is also survived by one brother, Charles (Chick) Marvin, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons-in-law, Charles Baron and Pat McCann; a grandson, Brian Charles McCann. Edith was also preceded in death by four sisters Clara Rice, Lucille Vogus, Donna Becker and Joyce Pritchard and four brothers, Harold Marvin, Curtis Marvin, Neil Marvin, and Lee (Duke) Marvin.

Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 7, 2018, at the Morrison Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at the Galloway United Methodist Church with the Rev. Roy Gearhart officiating.

Interment will be in Lamey Cemetery.
