Edward L Beauchat JrMr. Edward L. Beauchat, Jr., 84, of W. Elm St., Titusville passed away Thursday evening, January 19, 2017 at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh.

Mr. Beauchat was born on November 3, 1932 in Titusville to the late Edward L. and Myrtle Walsh Beauchat, Sr. He married Mary Ellen McMillan on November 28, 1958 in Titusville. Mrs. Beauchat preceded him in death on January 25, 2003.

He was a graduate of Colestock High School, class of 1950.

Ed was a veteran having served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He entered the service on Feb. 12, 1953 at Pittsburgh, PA and was honorably discharged on Dec. 24, 1954 at Ft. George G. Meade, MD with the rank of corporal.

Mr. Beauchat was formerly employed by Struthers Wells Corp, Erie Thayer, General American Transportation in Ohio, and as an agent for Mutual of Omaha and Prudential. He was a self-employed businessman in Titusville since 1974 where he at one time owned Beauchat Pools, Beauchat Insulation, and Beauchat Rentals until his retirement on December 31, 2006.

He was a member of St. Walburga Church where he served on the church council. He was a member of the Titusville Landlords Assoc., Cleo J. Ross Post 368 American Legion, Bruce Shorts Post 5958 VFW, Titusville Elks Lodge 264, Moose Club, Lakewood, NY Rod and Gun Club, and served on the Titusville Planning Commission.

Mr. Beauchat enjoyed traveling, wintering with his fiancée in Dade City, FL, and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his fiancée and companion, Audrey Pearson of Titusville; his three daughters; Mary Jane Schroeder and husband Thomas of Titusville, Yvonne Turk and husband Joel of Titusville, and Yvette Pringle and husband Jim of Centerville; 6 grandchildren, Renee Turner and husband David of Titusville, Tara Nason and husband Conrad of Titusville, Jennifer Turk of Grand Valley, Jerred Turk of Titusville, Scott Pringle and wife Kris of Midlothian, VA, Ben Pringle and wife Shawna of Midlothian, VA; 5 great grandchildren, Ryan and Claire Turner, Nora Schroeder, Elsa and Emme Pringle; 3 brothers, Thomas J. Beauchat and wife Sandy of Gettysburg, Richard A. Beauchat and wife Helen of Titusville, Robert W. Beauchat and wife Georgia of Titusville; a sister, Barbara Ann Sharp of Marco Island, FL; a sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Beauchat of Aurora, IL; his extended family, David Pearson and wife Lisa of Pleasantville, Brad Pearson and wife Tracy of Pleasantville, Carol Hall and husband Don of Lakeland, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Beauchat was preceded in death by a brother, John F. Beauchat; and a sister, Margaret E. Lapek.

Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St., Titusville, PA 16354 on Sunday from 6 to 8 PM and on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 AM from St. Walburga Church.

Interment will be in St. Catharine’s Cemetery with full military rites observed.
