Eleanor “Chub” (Racchini)(Harriger) Myers, age 96, of Brookville, PA, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2017, at the Jefferson Manor Health Center in Brookville, PA.

She was born October 31, 1920 in Ramsaytown, PA to Giuseppe “Joseph” and Madeline (Beducci) Racchini.

Eleanor married Charles Harriger in 1938 in Brookville, PA and had one child, Barbara; Charles preceded her in passing. Later, in 1985, she married Kenneth Myers, also in Brookville; Kenneth also preceded her in passing.

Eleanor was a life-long resident of the Brookville area.

Late in life, she spent several years living in Coral Springs, FL, with her daughter, Barbara, and son-in-law Steve, before returning to Brookville.

She and her first husband Charles were co-owners of the Green Lantern (located on Main Street in Brookville).

She also spent many years working for local businesses in Brookville which no longer service the area including, Sylvania and The Fruit Fair.

Eleanor enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, attending social gatherings, playing cards and BINGO with her family and friends.

Surviving is her daughter, Barbara Kruzelak of Falls Creek, PA; stepchildren Gale (Joe) Wolfe, Kenneth “Moose” (Rose) Myers, and Kurt Myers, all of Brookville; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husbands, Elenor is preceded in death by 2 sisters; Faye Moyer and Ida Santo; and 3 brothers; Primo “Cookie” Racchini, Ardovino “Ardy” Racchini, and Gelio “Skip” Racchini.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, September 1, 2017 from 2 – 4pm and 6 – 8pm, at the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, ltd., 345 Main St., Brookville, PA, 15825.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2017, also at the funeral home, beginning at 11:00am, and officiated by Rev. Michael Garvey. Interment will take place at Lakelawn Memorial Park, Winslow Twp., Jefferson Co., PA.
