She was born December 31, 1941 in Grove City, a beloved daughter of the late: Robert Howard Bruner and Viola M. Hines Bruner.

She was a faithful member of the Community Church of God in Cooperstown, where she enjoyed being a member of the Ladies Bible Study, as well as working within the children’s church.

Eleanor retired from Sugarcreek Station in 1993, after working in the laundry and housekeeping department there for more than 15 years. She remained active, as her health permitted, with the Senior Citizen’s Group of Utica. She enjoyed listening to Gospel music, working in her garden and watching the birds; but cherished most, the time she was able to share with her grandchildren.

She was married December 23, 1959 to Charles Peter Dilley, Jr., who survives.

In addition to her beloved husband of 57 years, she is survived by three sons: Charles Robert Dilley and his wife Crystal Gonzales Dilley of Franklin, David Eugene Dilley and his wife Rebecca Beach Dilley of Cooperstown and Steven Douglas Dilley and his wife Ella Masters Dilley, also of Franklin; and by seven grandchildren: Katie L. Dilley, Crysta N. Dilley, Peter J. Dilley, Michael R. Dilley, Eric R. Dilley, Blake T. Alexander and Landon Paul Dilley.

Also surviving are three siblings: Larry Bruner and his wife Kathy of Guys Mills, Mrs. Jean Moore of Titusville and Mrs. Margaret Jennings of Florida, in addition to many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Stephanie Lynn Dilley and by her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bertha Ann Reagle Dilley and Charles P. Dilley, Sr.

In keeping her wishes, there will be no public visitation.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service in celebration of her life Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 4:30PM in the Community Church of God in Cooperstown with Reverend Barry Markle, pastor of the church, officiating.
