15_027[1]Eleanor Ruth (Ruthie) Harp, 61, of Marienville, died Monday evening, November 23, 2015 at Clarion Hospital.

Born January 22, 1954 in Kane, she was the daughter of the late Charles Sr. and Alma Lentz Cochran.

She was married to Darrell Harp on March 27, 1971 and he survives.
Ruthie was a bus driver for Forest Area School District from 1989 to 2005. She enjoyed driving bus and being a second mother to all the students that rode her route.

Ruthie enjoyed decorating for the Octoberfest in Marienville, for the best home decorating contest.

Surviving in addition to her husband is one daughter, Beckie of Marienville and five grandchildren: Austin, Andy, Anthony, Adriene and Kirsten. She is also survived by four sisters: Myrna Bailey of Tionesta; Charlotte Rowan of Lake Wales, Florida; Mary Spaulding of Cincinnati, Ohio and Carolyn Murray of Kane.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Brenda; two brothers Richard and Charles and one sister, Jean.

Friends and family may call on Friday, November 27, from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 and from 10 – 11 on Saturday, November 28 at the Borland Funeral Home, Inc. in Leeper.

A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Daniel Richter, pastor of Marienville United Methodist Church and Wanda Hilyer, co-officiating.

Interment will follow in Roses Cemetery.
