Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Blasdell

Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Blasdell, 89, of DuBois, PA, formerly of Sykesville, PA, died Saturday, March 10, 2018, at Christ the King Manor.

Born on April 27, 1928, in Sykesville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Anthony & Nancy (Torre) Parente.

On December 27, 1953, she married Donald R. Blasdell. He preceded her in death in February of 2008.

Betty retired as an administrative assistant from Ideal Products after over 20 years of service.

She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church and a past member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church in Sykesville. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and ceramics. Betty was a very giving person to her brothers and sisters, family, and friends.

She is survived by three children, Denise Rusnak of Coral Springs, FL, John Blasdell and his wife Diane, and Donald Blasdell and his wife Lisa, both of DuBois, PA, three grandchildren, Kristen and Kathryn Rusnak, and Cietta Blasdell, and a step-grandson, Benjamin Blakley IV.

She was preceded in death by her three sisters, Catherine Dolinar, Lucy Parente, and Teresa Yeafol, four brothers, Angelo, Michael, Paul, and Joseph Parente, and a very special nephew, Anthony Parente.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2018, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. from the Chapel at Christ the King Manor.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Christ the King Chapel with Fr. Matias Quimno as celebrant.

Burial will follow in St. Catherine Cemetery.

Memorials may be placed with Christ the King Manor, 1100 West Long Avenue, DuBois, PA, 15801.
