Elizabeth I. “Betty” Wolbert, 84, of Lucinda, passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at the Clarion Hospital.

She was born on May 4, 1933, in Highland Township; daughter of the late George and Martha Swartzfager Hepfl.

Betty married Edwin C. “Ed” Wolbert on June 10, 1952, who survives.

She retired from Beverly Healthcare in Shippenville after many years.

Betty was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Clarion. She enjoyed gardening, flower beds, vegetable gardens, and houseplants. Betty was an amazing cook and baker. She also enjoyed canning, spending time with her family, family gatherings, and playing cards and dice.

She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Cindy Green and her husband Ed of Clarion, two sons, Ed Wolbert, Jr. and his wife Denise of Murrysville and Randy “Snuff” Wolbert and his wife Judy of Corsica, eight grandchildren, Jonathan, Jessica, Jason, Emily, Sarah, Randy Jr., Liz, and Sean, six great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Rita Reed of Miola and Mary Nick and her husband Ron of Fryburg.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Walter, Charles, Joseph, Donald, James, George, and Tommy Hepfl, and her sisters, Geraldine Griebel, Pauline Stiglitz, Monica Reed, and Helen Hepfl.

It was Betty’s wishes to have no public visitation.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 27, 2018, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Clarion.

Interment will be held in the Saint Joseph Cemetery in Lucinda.
