Elm Street in Oil City Reopens; Duncomb Street to Close for Demolition Work

Oil City parking garage demolitionOIL CITY, Pa. – Business Route 8 (Elm Street) in Oil City reopened yesterday afternoon.

A block of the roadway was closed for demolition work at the Oil City parking garage. Lane restrictions on Elm and Seneca streets near the structure will remain in place.

Starting at 6:00 a.m. on Monday, January 23, Duncomb Street will be closed from Elm Street to Seneca Street. The closure is expected to remain until the completion of the demolition work in June.

A detour will be posted using, Center Street, Route 8 bypass, and North Seneca Street.

PennDOT urges motorists to slow down when driving in work zones, and also to be alert to changing conditions, avoid distractions and to pay attention to signs and flaggers. Drive responsibly in work zones for your safety and the safety of the workers.
