FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) – Police in Frankin have charged an Emlenton man with Intimidation of a Witness, Simple Assault, and other charges stemming from an incident that took place in Franklin on Sunday.

David R. Stemmerich was charged with Intimidation of a Witness/Victim, Simple Assault, Physical Harassment, Disorderly Conduct, and Criminal Mischief after Franklin Police responded to the 1500 block of Liberty Street for a report of a man assaulting a woman.

Police said Stemmerich threatened and intimidated another female victim in an attempt to remain at large.

The female assault victim was transported to UPMC Northwest Medical Center for treatment of her injuries.

Charges were filed via summons.
