EMLENTON, Pa. (EYT) — An Emlenton man accused of threatening another man with a knife is scheduled to appear in court today.

Thomas Jeffrey Labans, 54, of Emlenton, was arraigned November 10 before Magisterial District Judge Patrick E. Lowrey on the following charges:

  • Terroristic Threats with Intent To Terrorize Another, Misdemeanor 2
  • Simple Assault, Misdemeanor 2

According to a criminal complaint filed by Franklin-based State Police Trooper Kephart, the charges stem from an incident that is alleged to have occurred November 10 around 12:51 p.m. at 154 Goshen Road in Scrubgrass Township, Venango County.

The criminal complaint states a verbal argument between Labans and another man became physical when Labans allegedly held a knife to the man’s neck and threatened to cut him.

Labans was taken into custody and placed in the Venango County Jail after failing to post $50,000 cash bail.

A preliminary hearing is slated for November 15 at 1:30 p.m. in Venango County Central Court.
