Emlenton Man Borrows Truck from Local Couple, Allegedly Returns to Burglarize Their Home

ST. PETERSBURG BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) — An Emlenton man is facing a felony burglary charge and related offenses stemming from an incident that occurred on Emlenton Street, in St Petersburg Borough, Clarion County.

According to court documents, 28-year-old Randy Eugene Risinger, Jr., of Emlenton, faces the following charges:

  • Burglary — Overnight Accommodation, No Person Present, Felony 1
  • Theft By Unlawful Taking-Movable Property, Misdemeanor 1
  • Receiving Stolen Property, Misdemeanor 1

According to a criminal complaint, on April 2, Trooper Wilson, of PSP Clarion, was dispatched to Emlenton Street, St. Petersburg Borough, for a report of a burglary at the residence.

The complaint states that the victim said when she and her family came home, the lights in the residence were on, and they were turned off when they left earlier in the day.

When the victim and her husband looked around the house, they found that they were missing some jewelry, a radio control car, an RCA tablet, a Samsung phone, and $20.00 in US currency. The victim allegedly said that the only person that would have had access to the residence was Randy Risinger, Jr., the complaint continues.

The victim allegedly said that he was borrowing their truck, and they forgot to take the garage door opener off the keys, according to the complaint.

The victim also indicated that the neighbors saw Risinger in the residence, the complaint states.

During the interview with Risinger, he allegedly stated that he entered the residence and stole a tablet, a $20.00 bill, a remote control car, a necklace, and a drill.

Based on the information gathered during the investigation, on April 10, Risinger was arraigned in front of Magisterial District Judge Jeffrey C. Miller.

Unable to post $25,000.00 monetary bail, he was lodged in the Clarion County Jail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on April 21, in front of Magisterial District Judge Amy Long Turk.
