Emlenton Man Injured in Motorcycle Crash on Route 322

CRANBERRY TWP., Pa. (EYT) – State Police say a motorcycle accident occurred Wednesday night on State Route 322, south of Hill City Road, in Cranberry Township, Venango County.

Police say around 6:26 p.m. on August 9, 29-year-old James R. Titterington, of Emlenton, was traveling eastbound on Route 322. While negotiating a left curve in the roadway, he lost control of his 2006 Kawasaki ZX636-CT and traveled off the south side of the road.

According to police, Titterington was forced to lay the motorcycle down in order to avoid impacting the guard rail. The motorcycle then slid across the roadway into the westbound lane of travel before coming to a rest facing east.

Titterington suffered suspected minor injuries.

He was using a motorcycle helmet.

The motorcycle sustained disabling damage.

He was charged with a traffic violation.

Community Ambulance and Seneca Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.
