Emlenton Woman Escapes Injury in Richland Township Crash

RICHLAND TWP., Pa. (EYT) — An Emlenton woman avoided injury on Sunday morning after an accident on Route 38.

According to Franklin-based State Police, around 11:26 a.m. on October 8, 73-year-old Mildred Marterella, of Emlenton, was driving a 2003 Toyota Corolla north at a high rate of speed when she failed to make a left curve, crossed the road, and hit a ditch before coming to rest facing north.

Marterella was wearing her seat belt and wasn’t injured.

She was charged with a traffic violation.

Hovis Towing removed the car from the scene.
