State Police Calls: Theft Investigation, Emlenton Woman Escapes Injury in Route 308 Crash

The Pennsylvania State Police responded to the following incidents.

Woman Escapes Injury in Route 308 Crash

According to Franklin-based State Police, around 5:36 p.m. on Monday, November 27, 63-year-old Wilda R. Chutz, of Emlenton, was driving a 2014 Nissan Altima east on Route 308. A deer crossed the road and was struck by the Altima.

Chutz was wearing her seat belt and was not injured.

The car had disabling damage and was removed from the scene by Snyder Brothers Towing.

Police Seek Info on Stolen Tree Stand

Marienville-based said a tree stand was stolen from a location along Ross Run Road in the Allegheny National Forest sometime between November 11 and November 27.

The tree stand is a Big Game Field & Stream 2-person, 18 ft. ladder stand.
