Eric SchumacherEric James Schumacher, 23, of 26 Stewart Road Oil City, went to be with the lord on May 9, 2017.

Born June 23, 1993 at the Franklin Hospital, he is the son of Robert and Deborah McClelland Schumacher.

Eric attended St Stephens Grade School and graduated with honors from Oil City High School in 2012 where he played football and wrestled.

He was a member of St. Stephens Church. He was also a member of the local Eagles, V.F.W. and P.N.A. clubs. He was an employee at Bob Shreffler Contracting.

Eric was a very outgoing person that could start up a conversation with anyone. His personality was contagious and was a loyal friend to many. He was a dependable friend that anyone could always count on. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time hunting, fishing, and playing sports.

In addition to his parents he is also survived by two brothers; Michael of Greenbelt, MD. and Patrick and fiancé Natalie Sedlak and their son Braeden of Johnstown, PA.

Also surviving is his grandmother Mary Lou McClelland and Aunts Linda Lewis and (Robert) of Knox, Marci Schumacher of Oil City, Lori Truscott and (Thomas) of Columbus, Ohio, and Karen Tracy and (Ed) of Atlanta Georgia.

As well of many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents James and Elma Schumacher and James McClelland.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Reinsel Funeral Home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Stephens Church with Father Shane Matthew presiding.

Entombment will be at the Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
