Eva CarterMrs. Eva M. Carter, 89, formerly of Hamilton Corners Rd. and N. Martin St., Titusville passed away at 9:38 PM on Sunday, April 23, 2017, at Rolling Fields Nursing Home in Conneautville.

Mrs. Carter was born on January 4, 1928, in Cleveland, OH to the late Emanuel and Cornelia McKean DeMarches.

She married Norman Carter on September 5, 1952, in Titusville. Mr. Carter preceded her in death on March 1, 2007.

She was a graduate of Oil City High School, class of 1947.

Eva was formerly employed by Cross Creek Resort in Titusville for 10 years as an office manager.

She then went to work for May and Company in Oil City for 14 years as an accounting clerk and retired from there in 1990.

Most recently employed at Marsh Planing and Lumber for a number of years.

She was a former member of the Oil City Lioness Club, Titusville Lioness Club and Bruce Shorts Post 5958 Auxiliary.

Eva enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by three children, James L. Carter of Pittsburgh, Edward E. Carter and wife Clare Ann of Mineral City, OH, Linda L. Fiely and husband William of Titusville; six grandchildren, Theresa Carter of Pittsburgh, Tracy Hartle and fiancé Joe Graf of Emlenton, Michael Carter and wife Kristen of Meadville, Aaron Carter of Freedom, Mary Dinninger and husband Nick of Canton, OH, Matthew Carter of Mineral City, OH; nine great grandchildren, Ethan Carter, Kymere and Kristopher Carter, Landon, Lilly, and Jackson Carter, Tanner and Harper Dinninger, and Carter Graf; a brother, Emanuel Demarches, Jr. and wife Dorothy of Titusville; a sister, Mary Kirby of Dallas, TX; a sister-in-law, Betty DeMarches of Dallas, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Eva was preceded in death by a sister, Josephine Hinderman and two brothers, John T. DeMarches and Frank DeMarches.

Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St., Titusville, PA 16354 on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM.

The funeral service will be conducted from the funeral home on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 11 AM with Father Walter E. Packard officiating, Pastor of the Catholic Community of Titusville.

Interment will be in Jamison Corners Cemetery.
