Two-Mile Run Winterfest Set for Saturday

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) — Two Mile Run County Park will host its annual Winterfest Saturday.

Activities include sled riding, cardboard box derby race, snowman building contest, hot dogs and cocoa, a bonfire and door prizes.

Pre-registration is required for the race and snowman contest.

To register, call the Venango Fatherhood Initiative 814-676-9940, extension 12.

Meet at the Pioneer Flats Pavilion.

The event is being sponsored by the Moose Family Center #78.

If there isn’t enough snow, it will be held Saturday, February 4.

Also, the Park’s free “Learn-To-Ski” Day will be held at the Nature Lodge from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Ski lessons will be given each hour.

Pre-registration is required by calling the Park Office at 814-676-6116.

Lunch will be available for a donation.

You can also try snow shoeing on that day. Any changes & more information will be put on the web site & on Facebook as we get closer to the event day.
