Feril-Stewart-1477409108Feril Stewart, 83 of Franklin, passed away at 11:35 P.M. Monday, October 24, 2016 at Sugarcreek Station where he resided the last 10 years.

Born in Etty, KY on January 14, 1933 he was a son of the late Mant Sterling and Mary Lillian Burke Stewart.

He was a graduate of Cochranton High School.

Over the years, Feril worked at Joy Manufacturing in Franklin, Wylie McClain in Erie and most recently as a security guard in Erie.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War with the rank of Staff Sargent.

Surviving are his children; Kenneth F. Stewart and his wife Opal of Franklin and Sterling L. Stewart and his wife Ella of Franklin; five siblings, Lloyd Stewart and wife Barb of Cooperstown, Ellis Lee Stewart and his wife Shirley of Sandy Lake, Phillip Stewart and his wife Gayle of Franklin, Eugene Stewart of Franklin, and Effa Ella Jean Foresell of Franklin.

Additionally surviving are his grandchildren; Heidi Moore and her husband Brian and Nicole Stewart and a great-grandson, Silas Zischkau.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers; Ben Stewart and Robert Stewart; two sisters, Anna Teal and Dorothy McCool; and a granddaughter, Elizabeth Rose Stewart.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 West Park St. Franklin where family and friends are welcome from 11:00 A.M. – 12:45 P.M. Friday.

Funeral services will follow at 1:00 P.M. Friday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Gary Atkinson, Pastor of Grace United Methodist Church, officiating.

Military Honors will be rendered by the V.E.T.S. Honor Guard at the funeral home following the service.

Interment will follow at Franklin Cemetery.
