Few Details Released in Crash That Killed Venus Man

ELK TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Clarion-based State Police have released few details surrounding a fatal crash that occurred last week on State Route 208, in Elk Township, Clarion County.

Police say around 11:52 p.m. on Wednesday, November 8, 24-year-old Colby L. O’Day, of Venus, was traveling on Route 208, and his 2005 Hyundai Tiburon left the roadway and struck a house located at 9692 Route 208.OI896428984_ODayColby

O’Day suffered major injuries in the crash.

Police say he was not using a seat belt.

STAT MedEvac transported him to UPMC Presbyterian.

He was pronounced dead by Allegheny County Coroner’s Office at UPMC Presbyterian due to the injuries he received in the collision.

Shippenville-Elk Township Volunteer Fire Department; Shippenville-Elk Volunteer Ambulance Service; Knox Volunteer Fire Company; and Columbia Gas were called to the scene.

The scene was cleared at 1:16 a.m.

State police did not release any further details, citing an ongoing investigation.
