Fire Marshal Investigating Route 58 House Fire; Damages Estimated at $75,000

RICHLAND TWP, Pa. (EYT) – A Tuesday morning fire on Route 58 in Richland Township, Clarion County, caused $75,000.00 in damage.

The fire occurred at the 1312 Route 58 residence of 63-year-old Lorraine L. Girty, of Parker.

St. Petersburg Fire Department asked state police to investigate the blaze that destroyed the woman’s single-story home.

According to State Police Troop C Fire Marshal Unit, the fire is believed to have started in the attic, but a cause has yet to be determined.

Clarion County 911 said a firefighter on scene was taken to a hospital for dehydration and possible smoke inhalation.

No information is available on his condition.
