Firefighters Battle Industrial Building Fire in Emlenton Area

ALLEGHENY TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Firefighters from several area departments responded to a three-alarm fire Saturday morning in Allegheny Township, Butler County.

A representative from Butler County 911 says the call came in at 7:49 a.m. reporting a fire at an industrial building located at 3539 Oneida Valley Road.

The fire was under control around 8:30 a.m.; however, crews remained on the scene until approximately 11 a.m.

Sources say the building was a processing plant for Oxbow Activated Carbon. It was not in operation at the time of the fire.

No injuries have been reported.

Firefighters from Eau Claire, Emlenton, Knox, Polk, Clintonville, Parker, Rockland, Sandy Creek, Seneca, St. Petersburg, and Cornplanter were dispatched.

Emlenton Ambulance was also called to the scene.
