Firefighters Battle Massive Blaze at Titusville Restaurant

TITUSVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – Firefighters battled a blaze at a downtown Titusville Restaurant late Tuesday night and into the early hours of Wednesday morning.

According to a published article in The Titusville Herald, the emergency call for a fire at Maria’s Italian Restaurant, located at 109 W. Spring Street, came in around 11:00 p.m. on January 16.

Seven fire departments assisted Titusville Fire Department – Cherrytree, Hydetown, Pleasantville, Oil City, Corry, Franklin, and Cornplanter.

According to Titusville Fire Department Fire Chief Joe Lamey, the fire started in the kitchen area located on the first floor, according to The Titusville Herald.

The fire also damaged the adjacent New Life Care Center, situated at 107 W. Spring Street.

Damage was extensive to both structures.

The fire was under control shortly before 5:00 a.m.
