Krista Wright, West Forest’s Certified School Nurse, was selected for Excellence in Nursing Practice in the Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia region.

She was recognized for her work in bringing mental health, dental services, and vision services to West Forest students who might often go without these services in rural areas.

Mrs. Wright received a check for $1500.00 which was able to be used in a way that she chose. She decided that she would donate the money to the school district so the school could purchase an audiometer to be used in screening student hearing.

Mrs. Wright was very surprised when the student body and staff showed up to see her receive her award from the Highmark representatives.
