FOREST CO., Pa. (EYT) — Forest Area School District submitted the following articles:

West Forest Students Partner to Make Pamphlet on Harmful Effects of Drugs

West Forest students in Miss Blair’s English Comp class and the students in Mr. Hale’s fourth grade paired up to write an informational pamphlet. The topic was the harmful effects of drugs. Pamphlet sections were completed on alcohol, marijuana, and prescription drugs. The student partners created many wonderful, informative pamphlets.

Kindergarten Class Makes Applesauce with Ms. Kathy

Mrs. Jaquay’s Kindergarten class made applesauce with Ms. Kathy. The students took turns peeling the apples. The classroom smelled delicious and everyone enjoyed the applesauce at the end of the day.

East Forest Seniors Attend Manufacturing Day in Erie

The students saw representatives from many Western Pa businesses and participated in activities​. They are shown here participating in the Marshmallow Challenge.

East Forest Second Grade Students Develop Unit on Communities

The East Forest Second Grade just finished a Unit on Communities.

In the unit, ​they learned how people live in a community and the different groups in which they belong. They also learned about the kinds of people and things they might see in a community ​and the different changes that can take place to people and places in a community.

They discovered that everyone has needs and wants. The students found out ways they can work together and become good citizens. The buildings are different places in Marienville that the people in the community share.
