FOREST CO., Pa. (EYT) — Forest Area School District submitted the following articles:

2017 “Cutest” Contest Winners

The cutest baby winner for the West Forest FCCLA contest was three-month-old Waylon Ellenberger (pictured above).

Niederriter

The cutest pet winner was Lexi who belongs to the Niederriters.

East Forest High School Holds National Honor Society Induction

Emily Everett was inducted into permanent membership along with Jarrett Kahle and Daniel Parrett as probationary members on April 12 into the East Forest High School National Honor Society.

Members were selected by a faculty council for meeting high standards of scholarship, service, leadership, and character.

The East Forest High School Chapter has been active since 1996.

The National Honor Society ranks as one of the oldest and most prestigious national organizations for high school students. Chapters exist in more than 60 percent of the nation’s high schools, and since 1921, millions of students have been selected for membership.

Forest Area Industry Club Tours Warren Businesses

Earlier this month, the Forest Area Industry Club toured both Whirley DrinkWorks and the Blair Corporation, in Warren.

The students had the opportunity to see various professions at both companies to help them think about what they may want to do after graduation.
