MARIENVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — The students at East Forest High School designed catapults of their choosing to study projectile motion in their General Science II class.

After the catapults were complete, the students launched miniature marshmallows. The students were able to calculate distance, height, and angle of launch. With these calculations, the students were also able to calculate the velocity at which the projectile was launched.
