Forest County Man Accused of Firearms Act Violation

KNOX, Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based state police are investigating a reported Firearms Act violation that took place in Knox Borough earlier this year.

Police said a 40-year-old Marienville man falsified information while attempting to purchase a firearm at Sportsmen Outfitters in Knox.

During an instant background check, it was revealed that the suspect is prohibited from acquiring firearms.

The investigation is ongoing.
