Forest County Man Jailed After Allegedly Punching 17-year-old Female in Stomach, Mouth

TIONESTA BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) — According to Marienville-based State Police, sometime between 1:00 a.m. and 1:10 a.m. on September 6, an assault occurred on German Hill Road, approximately .3 mile east of State Route 36, in Tionesta Borough, Forest County.

Police say 19-year-old Austin Drew Hunter, of Tionesta, allegedly became highly intoxicated and assaulted a 17-year-old female and a 51-year-old female.

According to police, he allegedly punched the 17-year-old female in the stomach and mouth and stomped on her ankle.

Police say he allegedly hit the 51-year-old female in her arm with a piece of plastic.

Hunter was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Cynthia Lindemuth on the following offenses:

-1 count of Simple Assault, Misdemeanor 2
-2 counts of Harassment — Subject Other to Physical Contact, Summary
-1 count of Purchase of Alcoholic Beverage By A Minor, Summary

Unable to post $1,000.00 straight bail, he was lodged in the Warren County Prison.

His Preliminary Hearing is scheduled for October 1, 2013, at 1:15 p.m. in front of Magisterial District Judge George F. Gregory.
