FOREST CO., Pa. (EYT) — Two individuals are facing charges following a domestic dispute that turned violent on Wednesday night.

Court documents indicate the Marienville-based State Police filed criminal charges against 30-year-old Kassie Carolina Deloe, of Tionesta, and 36-year-old Joshua Nathan Parkhurst, of Marienville.

According to a criminal complaint, around 11:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 4, Kassie Deloe and Joshua Parkhurst were at a bar in Marienville. Both individuals were allegedly intoxicated.

The complaint states that Deloe told Parkhurst she was going outside for a cigarette. They began arguing after exiting the business as they proceeded to an alley along Main Street near the intersection of State Route 66 and Loleta Road.

According to the complaint, the argument turned physical, and Parkhurst “grabbed Deloe and threw her onto the ground, and then threatened to kill her and everyone around her before ripping off her clothes and striking her in the face, causing a bloody lip.”

Police observed that Deloe had a bloody lip which appeared to be a recent injury. Deloe confirmed that she received the bloody lip when Parkhurst struck her in the face, and also had scuffs on her knees from being thrown to the ground.

On Wednesday, July 4, after Deloe spoke to police regarding the physical altercation, a warrant was issued for Parkhurst.

Police were unable to locate Parkhurst until 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 5, when he arrived at Clarion Hospital for treatment of a stab wound.

The injury required seven stitches, the complaint indicates.

The complaint states that when police took Parkhurst into custody, he said that Deloe had stabbed him around 11:30 p.m. on the night of July 4, following an altercation.

Parkhurst told police he and Deloe had been together, and they became involved in an argument that turned physical. He said that following the altercation he went to a friend’s apartment and Deloe followed.

According to the complaint, Parkhurst said after speaking to his friend for a while, he went to the bathroom, and when he came out, Deloe picked up a large knife and stabbed him in the shoulder with it. Parkhurst said Deloe did not say anything before or after stabbing him.

Deloe was arraigned at 8:40 p.m. on Thursday, July 5, in Magisterial District Judge Daniel L. Miller’s office.
