FOREST COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) – Forest County Sheriff Robert L. Wolfgang announced this week that his office will be conducting its 6th Annual “Shop with a Cop” program this holiday season.

“Shop with a Cop” pairs underprivileged children with law enforcement from various area agencies, providing the kids with money to shop for Christmas presents like clothing and toys.

“Local families experiencing economic hardships can’t always provide their children with their own celebration of Christmas,” said Wolfgang.

Children will be picked up at a designated location and transported to Clarion Walmart where they will begin their shopping experience.

Each child will be given a $100.00 shopping allowance.

After shopping, the group will meet for dinner with the children.

A specific date for the event will be released soon.

The program is a non-profit charitable endeavor sponsored by the Forest County Sheriff’s Office.
