KINGSLEY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Marienville-based State Police say a one-vehicle accident occurred around 6:21 p.m. on July 10, on German Hill Road (State Route 4004), 1.4 miles east of Ross Run Road, in Kingsley Township, Forest County.

According to police, 67-year-old B.I. Moore, of Tionesta, was negotiating a downhill, sharp left hand curve in the roadway and was unable to maintain control of her 2005 Chevrolet Equinox. It traveled off the south berm of the road, striking a mailbox.

The vehicle re-entered the roadway and spun clockwise before again exiting the south berm of the road. The vehicle then struck guard rails along the south berm of the roadway, spun clockwise, and came to a final rest in the center of the road facing west, according to police.

Moore was using a seat belt and suffered minor injuries.

The Equinox sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene by Frank’s Auto.

Tionesta Area Ambulance Service and Fire Department assisted at the scene.

Charges will be filed against Moore with Judge Daniel Miller of District Court 37-4-03 associated with summary traffic violation, according to police.
