ERIE, Pa. (EYT) — A former Venango County man who was awaiting trial on attempted murder charges stemming from a March 2015 shooting could now be charged with homicide.

Devin Stevenson, 20, formerly of the Franklin and Oil City areas, was jailed on two counts of attempted homicide, aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment, and one count of using an instrument of crime, after he allegedly shot two men at 144 Meadville Street in Edinboro.

One of the men who was shot — O’shae Imes — died in March after being hospitalized for over a year. He was shot multiple times in the torso.

The second victim — Andrew Baker — was shot in the shoulder.

The District Attorney’s office will determine whether or not homicide charges will be filed after the final medical examiner’s report is received.
