Four District 10 Teams Still Alive in PIAA Basketball Playoffs

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. — Four District 10 basketball teams are still alive in the PIAA basketball playoffs and play semifinal games Monday and Tuesday.

At 7 p.m. Monday, Monessen, the WPIAL champions, and Kennedy Catholic, the District 10 and defending PIAA champion, will meet in the Class 1A boys’ semifinals at Slippery Rock University’s Morrow Field House.

Also at 7:30 p.m. Monday in boys’ Class 5A District 3 champion Northeastern takes on District 10 champion Meadville at Altoona High School’s Fieldhouse.

There will be two more semifinal games Tuesday.

In girls’ Class 4A action, District 10 champion Villa Maria will battle District 3 third-place finisher Lancaster Catholic at 7 p.m. at Clearfield High School, while in boys’ Class 4A play District 10 champion Erie Strong Vincent battles WPIAL runner-uo Quaker Valley at 7 p.m. at Slippery Rock’s Morrow Field House.
