CRANBERRY TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police say a four-vehicle accident occurred around 3:53 p.m. on May 24 on State Route 257, south of Little Egypt Road, in Cranberry Township, Venango County.

According to police, the following individuals and vehicles were involved in the crash:

Marci L. Ziegler, 44, of Franklin — 2011 Chevrolet Traverse
Lindsay K. Johns, 28, of Oil City — 2014 Chevrolet Cruze
Dixie L. Knight, of Oil City — 2006 Hyundai Tucson
Kenneth J. Schubert, of Oil City — 2002 Dodge Durango

Police say all vehicles were traveling north on Route 257 with Johns, Knight, and Schubert stopped for a school bus. Ziegler was unable to stop her 2011 Chevrolet Traverse in time and struck the rear of the 2014 Chevrolet Cruze; the Cruze struck the rear of the Hyundai, which in turn struck the rear of the Dodge.

According to police, Ziegler, Johns, and a passenger in Johns’ vehicle — 26-year-old Rachael R. McCarren, of Franklin — suffered suspected minor injuries.

Knight and Schubert were not injured.

All occupants were using seat belts.

Ziegler was charged with a traffic violation.
