Frances C. Trinch, 89, a resident of 1127 Elk Street, Franklin died peacefully Thursday evening, November 13, 2014 in UPMC-Northwest, Seneca; following a period of declining health.

She was born September 10, 1925 in Franklin, a beloved daughter of the late: Dominic and Rose Caruso Trinch.

Frances was a graduate of Sacred Heart School and Franklin High School. She attended the former Franklin Business School and Grove City College.

She had worked as a secretary for more than 30 years at Joy Manufacturing Company in Franklin; retiring from there in 1986.

She was a faithful member of St. Patrick Church in Franklin; where she was the longtime organist for both the Children’s and Senior Choirs for many years. She was a charter member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas; where she formerly held the offices of Organist and Prophetess. She was a former member of St. Patrick Church’s Parish Council and was a longtime member of the National Secretaries Association.

Miss Trinch was very active throughout the years with volunteer work with many area civic clubs and community agencies. In addition to music, she enjoyed travelling, visiting with her family and friends and was an avid reader. She will deeply be missed by many.

She is survived by her sister-in-law: Regina “Jean” Trinch of Tampa, FL; and by her nieces and nephews: Steven Skrovan and his wife Shelley of La Crescenta, CA, John Skrovan and his wife Jennifer of Ithaca, NY, Nancy Trinch Kissane and her husband Jim of Tampa, FL, Frank Trinch and his wife Paula of Mechanicsville, MD, John “Mick” Trinch of Mims, FL, Jeanne Trinch Peterson of Charlotte, NC, Susan Trinch Smith and her husband Don of Lusby, MD and Thomas Trinch and his wife Jennifer of Virginia; in addition to many extended family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Toni Skrovan and Mary Trinch and by her brother: Frank Trinch.

In accordance of her wishes, there will be no public visitation.

Family and friends are invited to attend her funeral Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday at 11 AM in St. Patrick Church, 949 Liberty Street, Franklin; with Monsignor John J. Herbein, pastor officiating.

Interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery.

Memorial contributions, if desired, may be directed in her name to St. Patrick School, 952 Buffalo Street, Franklin, PA 16323.
