Francis “Frank” Melbourne Harris, 89, of Titusville, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2017.

Born June 16, 1928, in Mineral Point, Wisconsin, Frank was the son of the late Harvey and Margaret Anderson Harris. He was married to Johnston “J” Williams Harris who survives.

Mr. Harris was a United States Army Korean War Veteran having served as a Front Line Medic from 1952 until 1953. He was awarded the Korean United Nations Medal, the Korean Service Medal, the National Defense Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the Combat Medical Badge, and the Korean Peace Medal.

He worked as a farmer from the age of 12, and a school custodian for 16 years in Cobb, Wisconsin. Frank worked as a school custodian for 13 years (1975 — 1988) at the Cochranton Junior-Senior High School, and served in the Venango County Jail Ministries from 1979 until 1992 with his wife.

Frank attended the Chapmanville Community Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing, traveling and mechanical work.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his 3 sons, Dennis Harris of Nevada; Jerry Harris and his wife, Terri, of Virginia; and Timothy Harris and his wife, Melody, of Pennsylvania; his 2 step-daughters, Britt DeTilla of Tennessee and Linda Christian and her husband, David, of Pennsylvania; and his 3 grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Darlene M. Schmelzer, of Wisconsin.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his first 2 wives, Arlene D. Tomas and Dorothy Carter; his brother, Harland L. Harris; his sister, Mildred Horne; and his step-son, Brian DeTilla.

A memorial service for Mr. Harris will be held on Monday, August 28th at 11 a.m. at the Chapmanville Community Church with Rev. Glen VanCise, pastor of the church, officiating.

The family will be receiving friends at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
