Frank W. (Bill) Davison, Jr., 95, of Titusville, passed away Monday, February 19, 2018, at Oil City Healthcare and Rehab Center.

Born August 11, 1922, in Sunville, he was the son of the late Frank and Marie Davison.

Bill was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 68 years, the former Anna J. Bedow. They were married on December 11, 1947.

He served as a corporal in the U.S. Army during World War II. He entered the service on December 2, 1942, and was honorably discharged on February 14, 1946. He was awarded the American Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal.

Bill was employed as a machinist at Universal Cyclops, retiring after 35 years of service. Mr. Davison bred working beagles for many years and was proud to have trained several national and international field trial champions. He enjoyed hunting and golfing through his late 80s and spent countless hours playing cards with his family.

Bill was a member of the Bruce Shorts Post 5958, VFW; the Cleo J. Ross Post 368 American Legion; and Cytemp Quarter Century Club, all of Titusville. He was also a member of the Titusville Lodge No. 754 F&AM; Oil City Lodge of Perfection; and New Castle Consistory, Scottish Rite.

Mr. Davison is survived by five children: Clifford Smith and his wife Suzanne of Banning, CA, Karen Thompson and her husband Dave of Titusville, Pam Beck and her husband Bill of Titusville, Frank Davison and his wife Conni of Seneca, and Teri Ann Armstrong and her husband Dale of Guys Mills. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, a brother and a grandson.

A private service for the family will be held in the spring.
