Frank William “Bill” Long Jr.

Frank William “Bill” Long Jr., 62, of Franklin, passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018, after a short illness.

Born in Titusville on November 15, 1955, he was a son of the late Franklin William Long Sr. and Deana Warren Long.

Bill was a collector of all things, especially, cars, tractors, and guns. Bill was a talented mechanic who loved to cook, read, hunt, garden and enjoy the outdoors. He will be remembered by those close to him as an all-around good guy.

Bill also had a love for all animals, but will especially be missed by his beloved dog, Sherman.

For a number of years, he worked at various local lumber mills and then began driving long haul truck, most recently for CFI where he earned his “Million Mile” plaque.

Surviving are three children, Christopher Long of Pittsburgh, Ian Long of Pittsburgh and Jimmy Long and his companion Amanda Obert of Titusville; a grandson, Liam Long of Titusville; his fiancé, Laura Corridon of Chicago, IL; five siblings, Roberta Drake and husband Tom, Pam Campbell and her companion Randy Calaci, Robert Long and his wife Stacey, Roy Long and his wife Janet, and Rebecca Moore and her husband Dennis; and a longtime friend, Christine Davis.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Huff – Guthrie Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 West Park St. Franklin where family and friends are welcome from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 12.

A funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
