FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) — The Franklin Area Middle School will host the “2nd Annual Franken-Run” 5K on Saturday, October 18, beginning at 9:00 a.m., at the Middle School on Pone Lane.

Runners and walkers are welcome to participate on the out-and-back course. Costumes are encouraged, and an award will be presented to the participant in the “Goul-est” costume.

Awards will also be given to the top three overall male and female runners and walkers and the top three male and female in each age group for runners and walkers.

Registration and packet pick-up for the event will start at the school at 8:00 a.m.

The entry fee for the race is $15.00 for those pre-registering by October 10 and $20.00 for those who register after.

Registration is available online at franken-run5k.weebly.com or by a printable registration form that can be sent by mail.

Registration forms can be mailed to Franklin Middle School, Attn: Franken-Run, 246 Pone Lane, Franklin, PA 16323.

Proceeds from the race will benefit the Franklin Area Middle School Student Activity Fund.
