SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. — Three teams and two individuals from Franklin Junior/Senior High School Students participated in the Propaganda Tournament held on November 1 at Slippery Rock University (SRU).

While playing PROPAGANDA, players learn to recognize techniques of persuasion that are often used by advertisers, politicians, editorial writers, and in normal human interaction. Players increase their ability to discern the truth from smokescreens; they learn to figure out the reality of situations rather than getting duped by the techniques. Players become critical thinkers.

The team named In Memory Of The Superteam composed of seniors Maddy Bush, Kiaran Rios, Adam Taylor, Trevor Wood, and junior Sam Burchfield was successful in claiming first place in the sixteen team field. This same team was also the number one team in the Onsets tournament held last month.
