FRENCHCREEK TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A Franklin man is in jail after allegedly assaulting a woman at a residence on Stone Road, in Frenchcreek Township, Venango County.
According to court documents 45-year-old Richard Adam Stone, of Franklin, has been charged with the following charges:
– Simple Assault, Misdemeanor 2
– Terroristic Threats W/ Intent To Terrorize Another, Misdemeanor 1
– Harassment — Subject Other to Physical Contact, Summary
Franklin-based State Police say that Stone “physically assaulted (a known, 45-year-old woman) and threatened her well-being.”
He was arraigned at 11:00 a.m. on November 20 in District Judge Matthew J. Kirtland’s office.
Unable to post $65,000.00 monetary bail, Stone was lodged in the Clarion County Jail.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on November 29 with Judge Kirtland presiding.
Police say Stone is a felon not to possess a firearm, and he was found to be in possession of a 12-gauge shotgun.
Charges will be amended at his preliminary hearing, according to police.
