CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police say a retail theft occurred yesterday at Walmart in Cranberry Township.

According to police, around 12:41 a.m. on June 20, 40-year-old Paul Daniel Law, of Franklin, was cashing a check at the service center in Walmart and was observed looking at the packaging of a cell phone that had been returned.

Police say Law then allegedly removed the phone from the package and placed it on the counter.

When Law was finished with his transactions, he allegedly “concealed the phone behind his receipts and left the store,” according to police.

The total value of the phone is $49.84, police say.

No other information was provided.
