Franklin Man Accused of Texting Explicit Messages to Juvenile

CRANBERRY TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A Franklin man is facing corruption of minors charges after he allegedly texted a juvenile, saying he wanted to “make love” to her.

Court documents indicate the Franklin-based State Police filed criminal charges against 40-year-old Lamont Antione Franklin.

According to a criminal complaint, a known juvenile victim and her mother reported that Lamont Franklin had sent messages to the victim around 9:22 p.m. on December 4 and told the victim he wanted to have sex with her.

The complaint notes Trooper Siegel, of the Franklin-based State Police, observed the text conversation between the victim and Franklin, which included Franklin telling the victim “I’m going to make love to u watch but keep tjis (this) bet8 (between) me and u.”

According to the complaint, a search of Franklin’s residence found no one living on the premises, and a check with Franklin Police Department revealed no forwarding address or known whereabouts.

Franklin was arraigned in front of Magisterial District Judge Patrick E. Lowrey at 11:15 a.m. on Monday, January 13, on the following charges:

– Corruption Of Minors – Defendant Age 18 or Above, Felony 3

Unable to post $5,000.00 monetary bail, he was lodged in the Venango County Jail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 22, with Judge Lowrey presiding.
