Franklin Man Accused of Threatening to Shoot Woman Due in Court on Wednesday

SUGARCREEK, Pa. (EYT) — A Franklin man who allegedly sent a message threatening to shoot a woman is due in court on Wednesday.

Court documents indicate that 20-year-old Austin David Clelland, of Franklin, is scheduled to stand for a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Patrick E. Lowrey on Wednesday, September 5, on the following charges:

– Terroristic Threats With Intent To Terrorize Another, Misdemeanor 1
– Harassment — Course of Conduct With No Legitimate Purpose, Summary

Details of the case:

According to a criminal complaint, on June 30, Trooper Owens, of the Franklin-based State Police, was dispatched to a residence regarding a threatening message allegedly sent by Austin Clelland.

Trooper Ownes made contact with a known man who stated that he and Clelland had been messaging each other regarding threats Clelland had made toward a known woman.

According to the complaint, Clelland allegedly sent a message with a picture of a gun and threatened to shoot the victim.

Trooper Owens then made contact with Clelland at his residence.

Clelland admitted to sending the threatening message to the victim, according to the complaint.

Based on the investigation, the Franklin-based State Police filed charges against Clelland in Judge Lowrey’s office on Monday, August 6.
