Franklin Man Allegedly Chokes Woman, Flees Scene

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) – At 2:04 a.m. on Sunday, September 29, police were dispatched to a Franklin address for a report of an assault with injuries.

The Franklin Police officers arrived and spoke to the victim, who said she had been held down on her bed for no less than 30 minutes by Micheal Shawn Bickel, police say.

Once she had the chance to get up, she did, and allegedly the arguing continued.

According to police, the victim was pushed into a bathroom and allegedly choked by Bickel with both hands.

After the police were called, he fled, but was apprehended in Franklin shortly after.

Bickel was arraigned in front of Judge Snyder and released on bail.
