CRANBERRY, Pa. (EYT) – A 30-year-old Franklin man faces charges following a police chase in Cranberry Township yesterday.

Police say the pursuit began on SR-257 in Cranberry Township around 12:00 p.m. yesterday when 30-year-old Juan Valencia, of Franklin, failed to stop for police.

Officials say Valencia drove over a curb along SR-257 and through the yard of Heath Memorials and then proceed to continue fleeing down Big Egypt Road before turning onto Gilmore Road.

Police attempted to block Valencia’s passage and he then drove through the old airport onto Airport Road.

At that point, police were able to stop Valencia’s vehicle and apprehended him after a short foot pursuit.

Fleeing and eluding and other charges are pending.
