FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) — According to Sugar Creek Borough Police, a Franklin man has been arrested and jailed after fleeing Ohio in connection with a sexual offense.

Sugarcreek Borough Police were advised by State Probation and Parole that Brian Edward Mahoney had absconded from Ohio and was wanted on charges allegedly involving sexually oriented matter involving a minor.

Mahoney has been placed in the Venango County Prison and is awaiting extradition back to Ohio.

Mahoney was wanted out of Carroll County Sheriff’s office on the following charges:

• 15 counts of Felony 4 Pandering Sexually Oriented Matter involving a minor
• 1 count Felony 2 Pandering Sexually Oriented Matter involving a minor
