Franklin Man Arrested for Public Drunkenness following Domestic Assault

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) — According to the Franklin Police Department, a Franklin man has been charged with public drunkenness and related charges.

Police say around 5:30 a.m. on August 4, 2012, 39-year-old Touissant Malik Anderson of Franklin, Pa., was taken into custody and charged with one count each of loitering and prowling at nighttime, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness, and similar misconduct at 205 12th Street in Franklin.

According to police, Anderson was charged following an investigation into a complaint of domestic violence assault in which he left the scene prior to officers making contact with him.

After officers left the residence, Anderson returned to the victim’s residence, a verbal argument began between the victim and Anderson, and officers were requested to return.

Officers advised Anderson that he was being charged via summary citation based on the original complaint.

Officers then advised Anderson to leave the residence and not return.

According to police, at approximately 5:00 a.m. officers were speaking to the victim at which time she observed Anderson in the back yard of the residence.

Anderson fled when the victim alerted officers, but he was eventually located by officers on the property hiding in the bushes.

He was charged and placed into custody.
