Franklin Man Arrested for Theft, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — Police responding to a report of a theft also discovered drug paraphernalia on Friday afternoon in Oil City.

Around 1:50 p.m. on Friday, December 28, Oil City Police Officers were notified of a theft in the 200 Block of West Seventh Street.

Officers arrived at the scene and met with the female victim who reported that 24-year-old Ryan Sharp, of Franklin, who was currently staying at the residence, was in possession of several of her belongings.

The officers made contact with Sharp, who was allegedly found inside the residence with several items that he stated did belong to the victim. Police also found in his possession several items of drug paraphernalia.

The man was arrested and arraigned on misdemeanor theft and possession of drug paraphernalia charges in Magisterial District Judge Andrew F. Fish’s office.

A date for a preliminary hearing has not yet been scheduled.
