FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) – Warren-based Orchard Brands, the parent company of 14 fashion and home catalog brands including Blair, announced Wednesday afternoon that it is closing its Franklin Call Center.

Jonathan E. Harvey, Vice President of Human Resources for Orchard Brands, told exploreVenango.com the call center will close on June 26.

Workers were notified early Wednesday afternoon, according to an employee.

The call center, located on Allegheny Boulevard (Route 8), employs 160 workers.

Harvey says all 160 workers will be offered positions at Orchard Brand’s Erie and Warren facilities.

“Severance packages will be available to those who do not wish to transfer; however, the focus is on those who choose to transfer,” said Harvey.

“As Orchard Brands continues to grow, we need to focus on ensuring that our operations are set up to best accommodate that growth and best serve our customers. We’re confident that our facilities in Erie and Warren have the capacity and the efficiency to do so,” said Harvey.

“We thank all of our associates for their dedication and ongoing efforts and hope we can continue to work with all of them in the future.”
